Lots of information to absorb about shipping in general and the port of Singapore in particular. I just couldn't get my husband away from the interactives!
What a great surprise! Stumbled across this wonderful gallery/museum and what a great place. Like many places in Singapore it is free to enter and has several interactive displays suitable for young and old. There is an area for small children where you can do activities and take photos of yourself on a screen dressed as maritime workers, a lot of fun, kept me and my 18, yes 18 year old son occupied and laughing for a while. As well as a large simulator where you can be the captain of a ship. The model ships, light houses and displays were fantastic and very informative. Also has various maritime objects and an area about maritime commerce in Singapore from original traders to today's ship building. So interesting. Make sure you go to the outside roof area where you can look out over the water and see some of the ships types that were displayed inside. We even went back in afterwards to have another look and read more information on ships we had seen. You don't need to have an interest in ships to enjoy and appreciate the displays. A wonderful surprise gallery.V W from Brisbane, Australia
What a well set out attraction, this is for young through to old with any interest in things maritime. It is a free admittance has a dedicated children's area with an abundance of games and puzzles to keep the young ones occupied.
For the older generations it has so much including a computerised ship handling area with large screens to follow your progress.
There are so many intricate models of ships and oil rigs, etc.
Allow plenty of time for this one.
Lots of history, lots of information. Very interesting and informative.
A bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit.
Traces the history of the port of Singapore from way, way back to their future plans.
If you can beat the kids off, have a try on the ship's captain simulator. Fun and surprisingly hard.
A fantastic collection of maritime artefacts. Well worth a visit. Easy to get too as it is situated right next to the MRT station.

Go upstairs to the gallery and you have a great view of the harbour and dockyards. That in itself is worth the trip.
